A Great Run

So this is the last week of the competition between my sister, her husband, and myself to lose "10 lbs in 2 months". I have to say that I have LOVED doing this. I feel like for the 1st time, my body responded to normal and healthy eating/exercising routines from day 1. I didn't give in to my own negativism when I didn't see results right at first, and especially during hard weeks. And, sure I had weeks where no weight was lost, (like last week) but I appreciate the good habits I have formed.

I started this blog by saying that it was NOT a resolution, but a life change. Now it is March... the month when resolutions are forgotten.

Personally, I am going to keep it going. I feel like I shouldn't stop doing what has felt so right and has produced some great outcomes... even if I am not the winner in this fun, little competition.

I will post the results of our competition on Sunday, and announce what the prizes are! Again, if anyone wants a copy of this competition that we did, I am happy to email it to you. It is a no-brainer. I love that it isn't about cutting things from your day/diet, but introducing and adding all good things. Maybe that's why it has worked for me... I hate being told what not to do. It makes want to do it more.

Wish me luck as I try to beat Jamie... who had passed my score by 15 points at the end of last week!!! Ha!

(love ya, Jamie!)

haha! Good luck this week! I'm glad that it helped keep you going because it definitely did for me too. It feels SO GOOD to feel comfortable in my own clothes and my own skin again. I still have about 5 more pounds I want to lose after this competition is over so I should probably keep up with it too. I've definitely fallen in love with fresh fruits and vegetables all over again. When I think of eating a handful of chips or some candy or something dumb like that for a snack, it doesn't sound nearly as appetizing anymore as grapes or an orange. Thanks for doing the competition with me!
